Practice Log
Individual practice at home is necessary to ensure each band student progresses. Especially with having class 3 times a week at most, the students need to be practicing what we cover in class at home.
Every band student is required to practice a minimum of one hour a week. They need to record their practice time on their practice log and turn it in every two weeks with a parent signature to prove they've done the time. The one hour a week of practice is very flexible. The time can be broken in to 3 twenty minute, 2 thirty minute, or 1 sixty minute session. It really doesn't matter how the time is broken up throughout the week as long as it all adds up to 1 hour.
Please help your child's progress in band by encouraging him/her to practice as much as possible at home.
