Steps to forming the "standard" trumpet embouchure:
1) Practice sighing
    - listen for any restriction in your air flow
    - If there is a "hiss sound" tr saying "HO---" when exhaling from the sigh
2) Say the word "banana"
    - The syllable "buh" is what you want to focus on
 3) Form the lips i a "buh" with our saying the word "banana"

3. Airy Tone (Some airy tone is common until the lip begins to vibrate naturally)

Causes of Problem

- None


- Lips not together (spread aperture)
- Too much pucker in lips ("oo" shape)
- Dry lips, dry mouthpiece
- Insufficient air to make lips vibrate

Remedies

- None


- Reform and maintain "B" position with lips
- Reform and maintain "B"
- Lick lips, inside of mouth piece
- Review "sigh" breath; use faster air

- Relax; reform "B" but d-emphasize lip pursing

- Re-form "B" but emphasize no pucker (more M)
- Review "sigh" breath; Suggest yawn with head up.

- Review "sigh" breath; suggest yawn with head up
